The problem

We decided to address the issue of the lack of a mobile digital system for the Multicaixa network. This concern arose because we understood that, following the presidential decree on social distancing, users of the Multicaixa network stopped using their cards as frequently.

Many ultimately stopped using their cards altogether, which hindered Angolans from accessing funds for daily expenses, paying bills, purchasing essential items, and managing their bank accounts.

After several rounds of testing and iterations, we achieved a 63% increase in mobile conversions compared to previous levels. As part of my role, I led exploratory research to better understand user needs and behaviors, which shaped the testing and iteration process. Additionally, the insights gathered allowed us to identify further opportunities for future improvements and continuous testing.

These ideas can be integrated iteratively, ensuring the solution's ongoing evolution and adaptation to users' needs

The Digital Transformation Department of EMIS, in collaboration with the Novadev team, delivered over 80 mobile screens divided into 8 flows, covering both iOS and Android platforms. The solution was approved for launch under the name Multicaixa Express by the PCA and the Central Bank of Angola (BNA).

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, I actively participated in analyzing data from the app relaunch tests and implemented adjustments based on the insights gathered. This was crucial to ensuring the efficiency and user-friendliness of the digital wallet, integrating key services from the Multicaixa Network and enabling 24/7 banking transactions between businesses, individuals, and government entities
